Today we received Jordan’s U.S. birth certificate in the mail and I can’t stop staring at it. Next on the list, SSN card and US Citizenship. Does the paperwork ever end???

- My husband and I are in the process of adopting our first child from Ethiopia. My husband is an awesome man, whom I love with all my heart. We’ve been married for almost two years. God has directed us to adopt from Ethiopia.
Why Ethiopia
- 4.6 MILLION ORPHANS
- 1 in 6 will die before age one
- 1 in 10 will die before age five
- 60% of children growth is stunted
- 50% will never attend school
- Literacy rate is 39%
- Doctor to child ratio is 1 to 24,000
- Life expectancy is 49 years
- Lack of clean water
- Insuffient government funding

I can't believe how big he has gotten! Where is the tiny baby I met at the care center? Congratulations on getting his birth certificate. I know you can't stop staring at it. Don't forget to add passport to the list of things to get for him. Tonya
